When I was a baby, I went to sleep listening to the Stones….

… whilst our baby is listening to classical music and lullabies. I can’t help but feel sorry for our little one, so I just made his first mix-tape. Only it’s on a CD, but I can’t bring myself to say mix-CD (I am an 80′s child after all).

I don’t have anything against classical music, I agree with the experts that it probably develops brain cells and such, but I don’t personally go out of my way to listen to it – to make up for any loss of IQ I’ll make sure to include plenty of (non-Chinese) fish into his diet when he’s a little older.

I’ll unveil my track list below the fold.

And for the one person that continued to read on, here it is!

  1. Shake a Tail Feather – The Blues Brothers
  2. Clocks – Coldplay
  3. Wild Horses – The Rolling Stones
  4. Mr. Songbird – The Kinks
  5. Mountains Blue and the World Through my Window – The Stands
  6. One Hundred Years from Now – The Byrds
  7. Vehicles and Animals – Athlete
  8. Song for Bob Dylan – David Bowie
  9. Peaceful Easy Feeling – Eagles
  10. Blackbird – The Beatles

  14. Don’t Stop – The Stone Roses
  15. Sloop John B – The Beach BOys

  19. New Slang – The Shins

I don’t think this will send me to sleep, so I’ll be able to report on the results in a few days.
